Accounting Manager

Job Description:

Our client is a fast-growing tech company driving innovation across Asia. As we continue to expand, they are now seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s financial reporting, general ledger, tax compliance, and internal controls. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, experience in the tech industry, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations:

• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded properly.
• Prepare financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

Tax & Compliance:

• Manage tax filings, including corporate tax, VAT/GST, and withholding tax compliance.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and corporate policies.

Process Improvement & System Optimization:

• Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement and optimize accounting software and ERP systems.
• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance financial workflows.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis:

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Provide insights on financial performance to senior management.
• Monitor cash flow and advise on financial strategies.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and business teams to align financial goals.
• Provide guidance on accounting best practices and internal controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
• At least 6+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in the tech industry, startups, or fast-growing companies is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Xero) and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
