Accounting Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, financial reporting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to streamline accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
2. Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.
3. Prepare and review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness.
4. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP and company guidelines.
5. Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors for annual audits.
6. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
7. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
8. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
9. Manage and mentor accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of responsibilities.
10. Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
