Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team and contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:

1. Perform essential bookkeeping tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and conducting bank reconciliations.
2. Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
3. Prepare financial reports and support budget tracking and forecasting activities.
4. Collaborate with external accountants for tax preparation and financial audits.
5. Monitor and track expenses to ensure they align with company budgets, providing insights for cost management.

General Support:

1. Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed by management, adapting to the evolving needs of a startup environment.
2. Contribute to improving bookkeeping processes and procedures continuously, suggesting and implementing best practices.
3. Support the team in streamlining operations and ensuring compliance with local financial regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
2. At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is preferred.
3. Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
4. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
6. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
7. Experience in a startup environment is a plus but not required.
8. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
