Position Summary:

Reporting to the AR Supervisor, the Associate Accountant is responsible for supporting strategic credit control and collection framework, providing effective credit risk management and driving collections performance. Accounts Receivable includes Credit & Collections, Billing, and Cash Applications. The position is responsible for achieving AR key metrics and deliverables to support our business objectives and includes, but is not limited to, supporting project implementations and business partnering.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Perform Accounts Receivables duties in line with the company’s credit policies and procedures.
  2. Perform periodic review of credit limits on customer accounts.
  3. Ensure orders are managed and released timely in accordance with guidelines.
  4. Compile and maintain accurate and complete accounts receivable records in Cforia system to include contacts, status of past due, and any disputes identified.
  5. Work cross-functionally with FP&A, Commercial, and Customer Services teams to resolve any outstanding discrepancies on AR.
  6. Assist in establishing and maintaining appropriate internal controls to ensure 100% SOX compliance.
  7. Participate in various finance SOP projects and initiatives to drive process improvements and automation.
  8. Participate and support on revenue recognition accounting.

Other AR accounting tasks include but are not limited to:

  1. Reviewing monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting packages.
  2. Reviewing SAB104 for revenue recognition, ensuring that transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with policies in the accurate accounting periods.
  3. Reviewing monthly ageing reports and analysis.
  4. Monitoring credit reviews using financial and/or relevant reports.
  5. Handling various audits.
  6. Other ad-hoc duties as required and/or assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  1. Accounting qualification (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accountancy).
  2. 4 years B2B Accounts Receivable experience, preferably from multinational companies.
  3. An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills in English. Comfortable and adept at presenting to various people including stakeholders, senior management, and external customers.
  4. Possess effective problem-solving skills and able to multitask efficiently.
  5. Highly organized and independent with a proven track record to deliver results.
  6. Has a high level of integrity. Able to set goals and deliver under tight timelines.
  7. Strong proficiency in programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
