Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager

Finance and Internal Controls

Responsible for and authorized with the function of:

1. Full spectrum of finance and accounting responsibilities
2. Ensure compliance to SAS/IFRS accounting principles and Financial Manual procedures
3. Participate in financial reporting; monthly/quarterly/annually closing process
4. Liaise with internal and external auditors and tax consultants
5. Operate as part of an effective team and contribute proactively to the efficient performance of the team
6. Perform Head-Office and statutory reporting; budgeting and cash flow forecast
7. Internal controls and corporate governance compliance
8. Perform test of controls and determine adequacy of internal controls and compliance with existing group policies
9. Highlight non-compliance with Finance policies and identify gaps for improvement
10. Responsible for annual group internal controls campaign
11. Provide support to trade compliance and fraud awareness program within the company
12. Comply with health, safety and environment (HSE) regulations as prescribed by law and company’s policies
13. Actively participate and contribute to HSE initiatives & Corporate HSE programs; HSE Risk Communications & Mitigation
14. Any other official duties assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

1. Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of working experience in a similar position
2. Technically competent with up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting standards
3. Able to work independently and effectively, under pressure and to meet deadlines
4. Experience in international group and reporting to overseas HQ
5. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
