ACCOUNTANT

ACCOUNTANT

Due to business expansion, we are seeking a professional Accountant (new position) to manage a team with the Finance Manager and CFO in enhancing financial reporting, costing, budgeting, internal controls, treasury, regional finance and tax integration, and ensuring compliance in IFRS.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis

1. Check financial reports of existing group companies and prepare financial statements.
2. Prepare new investments’ analytical review and management reports.
3. Manage CAPEX, conduct what-if analysis in new investment(s).
4. Participate in due diligence exercise of target companies/businesses.
5. Assist Manager in group consolidation of accounts.

Audit & Tax Compliance

1. Support and coordinate audits, ensuring all required documents and information are provided with the team.
2. Ensure compliance with local and regional tax laws, corporate policies, and financial regulations.
3. Identify and address areas for improvement in financial processes.
4. Support risk management and implement better checks and balances.

Budgeting & Costing

1. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
2. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
3. Monitor cash flow, cost control, and variance analysis.

Process Improvement & Systems Management

1. Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency.
2. Support the implementation and optimization of existing and/or new systems.
3. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for financial transactions.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business, ACCA (or equivalent).
2. Experience in external audit is preferred (preferably from an audit firm or similar role).
3. Above average competency in IFRS.
4. Proficiency in group consolidation of accounts.
5. Good problem-solving and team involvement skills.
6. CA Singapore (or equivalent) qualification is advantageous, but not mandatory.
7. Able to start work at short notice.
