The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
What does the role look like?
Work closely with accounting shared services in Philippine and Malaysia to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
Review Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation prepared by accounting shared services in Philippine and Malaysia.
Prepare withholding tax return, GST return, declaration and related documentation requested by the tax authority.
Support the business and management in any business analysis, projects, initiatives, and other duties assigned.
Provide financial/accounting support to other departments/business units.
Review, enhance, participate, and implement financial and control process improvement.
Treasury function - Liaise with banks for banking matters.
Plan and coordinate for quarterly and year-end stocktake.
Plan and coordinate for year-end fixed assets sighting.
Liaise with internal and external auditors, addressing the audit issues, working with the operation team to ensure the implementation of audit recommendations.
Assist for year-end tax filing.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional qualifications - ACCA, CPA/CA etc.).
A minimum of 5 to 6 years of accounting experience, including at least 3-4 years in full set accounting.
MNCs experience preferred.
Handles single entity or 2 max accounts.
Hands-on experience with accounting software preferably Oracle.
Good team player and possess good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to multitask and willing to be hands-on.
Pro-active, self-motivated and eager to acquire knowledge.
Able to work independently, under tight timelines and pressure.
