Finance Department

Responsibilities:

• Post journal entry for accounting entries including staff and ministry funds transfer
• Approve donation batches into finance system
• Maintain fixed assets register and exercise annual verification
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation
• Prepare monthly interdivision/department statement
• Prepare and complete quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST) submissions
• Prepare and ensure accurate and timely month-end closing, variance analysis and management reports
• Oversee the full set of accounts to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the accounting records
• Prepare for and support annual audit processes
• Liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents and government authorities where required
• Assist in preparing financial statements, Annual Statistics Report
• Overseas expenditure and online financial statements for filing to the Commissioner of Charities
• Manage Foreign Fundraiser Assistance Programme (FFAP) related matters such as maintaining up-to-date FFAP register, documentations, and accounting records, providing FFAP and international transmittals summary monthly for payment and liaising with the overseas staff
• Perform any other ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned.

As a Christian organisation, employees will be required to attend work meetings and Christian fellowship meetings, which start and end with religious activities such as prayers, words of worship and bible sharings. Non-Christian employees are not required to participate in the religious activities.

Requirements:

• At least a Diploma in Accounting.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting.
• A good team player and also able to work independently
• Effectively communication and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Oracle NetSuite software is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Keen learning attitude and agile to changes
