Account Officer

About the role

Join Taisei Corporation as an Account Officer based in the Punggol North-East Region. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and financial management to support the company's strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts regularly
• Preparation and submission of quarterly GST return
• Responsible for the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation
• Coordinate and deal with auditors for annual statutory audit
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies

What we're looking for

• Diploma in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in handling full set of accounts
• Familiar with corporate tax and GST legislations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in construction industry accounting knowledge would be an added advantage
