5G Software Engineer

We are seeking a Full Stack 5G Software Engineer with expertise in 5G technologies to drive the development and enhancement of our Network as a Service platforms development initiatives in 5G. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build 5G native features that empower low latency intelligent decisions, improve user experiences, and optimize operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building scalable software, creating 5G edge-driven solutions, and leveraging the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Full Stack Development: Design, build, and maintain both the frontend and backend of our platforms using modern web technologies (React, Node.js, etc.) while ensuring the integration of AI-powered features.
2. Agentic AI Integration: Implement and optimize agentic AI systems that autonomously interact with users, make recommendations, and handle transactions. Ensure these systems drive actionable insights, predictions, and intelligent decision-making.
3. 5G Slicing Development: Design and implement 5G slicing solutions to ensure network resources are allocated dynamically and efficiently.
4. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate the 5G core with RAN, backhaul, and transport networks.
5. AI & Machine Learning Models: Develop, train, and integrate machine learning and deep learning models, leveraging frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other relevant tools.
6. Collaborative Development: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to align on product requirements and deliver robust solutions.
7. Scalability & Performance: Optimize platform architecture to handle large-scale, high-traffic applications with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.
8. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest AI and software development trends, and continuously refine platform capabilities to keep up with industry advancements.
9. Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement automated testing frameworks and collaborate with QA teams to ensure the robustness and quality of AI features and platform functionalities.
10. Documentation & Best Practices: Write clear, concise documentation for AI components and software features. Follow best practices in coding, security, and software development processes.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Tertiary Education in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven Experience: 7+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer in 5G and related domains, with 1-2 years working on AI-driven projects.
3. Full Stack Expertise: Strong proficiency in both front-end (React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end (Node.js, Express, Python, Java, etc.) development.
4. AI and ML Expertise: Experience developing and deploying machine learning models, particularly agent-based AI models (reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, autonomous decision-making).
5. Database Knowledge: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
6. Cloud & DevOps: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
7. Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, working in iterative sprints and collaborating with a team in an agile environment.
8. Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills and the ability to design complex systems that leverage AI to solve real-world problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with 5G Network Automation, including orchestration and management using tools such as ONAP (Open Network Automation Platform).
2. Previous experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and 5G network functions in cloud-native environments.
3. Familiarity with machine learning or AI-driven optimizations in 5G networks.
