As Senior Manager of Business Development you will play a pivotal role in expanding Bactiguard’s presence within the medtech industry. You will spearhead the development of strategic partnerships, paving the way for the commercialization of Bactiguard’s coating technology.
You will lead the Business Development Forum at Bactiguard, ensuring cross functional delivery of necessary competences and resourcing across the organization to new business development efforts.
You will report to the CEO and will be based out of headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.
Your key responsibilities
- Identify and build relationships with potential partners
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to attract, evaluate and negotiate potential partnerships, collaborations, and licensing opportunities
- Drive all aspects of business development process from pitches through to negotiation and signing of collaboration agreements with development partners
- Support negotiations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure and execute licensing agreements and collaborations
Desired qualifications
- Experience in closing successful business collaborations or transactions such as licensing or M&A
- 3-5 years experience from investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate legal counsel
- Experience in deal team leadership. Proven capability to lead without direct reporting lines to gain trust and respect through characteristics as an influential leader.
- Business oriented mindset and acumen
- Understanding of MedTech or other life sciences industries product development processes, regulatory landscapes and commercialization channels
- Understanding of cross border deals, especially with US companies
- Ability to communicate across a multitude of disciplines, functions, and types of stakeholders, including business, R&D and innovation to leverage a good collaboration across functions and with external stakeholders and partners
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Global mindset with willingness to travel as required
- Preference with experience from working with both the larger and smaller company environment, however the combination is rare and hence a capacity to understand the smaller company entrepreneurial environment is of essence. The understanding of the larger company environment enables understanding and efficient collaboration with external partners.
- Minimum M.Sc., MBA, or corresponding university degree. Advanced degree in a scientific field is of significant benefit.
- Ability to work in English with fluency at a professional level, verbally and in writing.
