Senior Commercial Property Underwriter

We are currently looking for a Senior Underwriter to support the Nordic Commercial Property team covering all Nordic countries. The position is based in Stockholm and primarily focuses on underwriting of large and complex multinational clients.

This role will contribute to the profitable growth of the Nordic cluster by driving the business plans across countries by developing and maintaining relationships with existing brokers and clients and executing on long term strategies and goals. The Nordic Property team is part of a global property family which results in international relations, connectivity and opportunities.

Start date for this role is flexible but preferably as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwriting and handling of large multinational and complex accounts
• Review, analysis and development of terms and conditions, account and portfolio performance.
• The role is market and client facing and the person is expected to develop strong, long term relationships with external stakeholders to profitably grow a book of business.
• Work within agreed decision-making standards, limitations, authorities and underwriting guidelines.
• Working collaboratively in a team environment assisting underwriters and assistant underwriters, including development and training of junior staff

Position Requirements

• Extensive property underwriting experience (or related experience as broker, claims adjuster, risk manager etc.).
• Knowledge and experience of leading multinational account
• Proven ability to build relationships with brokers and clients.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance, reinsurance and portfolio management
• Fluent English (verbal and written) and any of the Scandinavian languages.
