Job Description

We are looking for a Game Director focused on multiplayer to enable us to keep ensuring the quality of the gameplay experience and good functioning of all the game systems within our upcoming game. You will collaborate with the Creative Director and other core team members to define the game and unify your visions, contributing to continuous improvements.

We're offering a permanent position in Malmö, Sweden, with the flexibility to work partially from home (up to two days a week) under our Flexible Workplace Policy. Please apply using English, our company's primary language.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with interdependent teams to align all design, technical, graphic, and narrative elements.
  • Develop your game design direction and communicate clearly across the production floor.
  • Support your game designers in developing their features (e.g. gameplay rules, progression systems, combat systems, weapon attributes, artificial intelligence behaviors, 3Cs, etc.), while providing mentorship and constructive feedback to ensure quality.
  • Review and discuss timelines with the producer and keep the editorial team up to date on progress and milestones.
  • Adapt to technical and production constraints, feedback, and playtest results, readjusting your design direction when need be.
  • Follow up on features after their release to improve, add, or remove components; interpreting data to inform decision-making.
  • Anticipate technological advancements and stay up to date on market trends to evolve our production processes and define our best practices.

Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in at least one full videogame production, in a supervising role (Director, Lead).
  • Capacity to clearly articulate and communicate a vision and strategy.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with co-op and multiplayer design.
  • Comprehensive experience within the shooter genre.
  • Solid understanding of the technical constraints of engines and the different game platforms.
