Now we are recruiting for the position as Chief Engineer Electric Driveline to lead the technology strategy and development within our transformation in Electromobility for Marine and Industrial customers.

Challenge Description

Key responsibilities include setting our technology strategy and roadmaps within the area of electric driveline, as well as driving the technology development and architecture work within the field. While you will lead this journey, successful collaboration across all functions in Volvo Penta as well as with other Volvo Group entities, external partners and most importantly our customers are key success factors in this role.

You will manage the Technology platform and concept designs in a way that brings value to our customers and the company by continuously reviewing technology development inside and outside of the Volvo Group and make sure that it supports our business strategy of world leader in sustainable power solutions.

Chief Engineer will be a part of the management team in Driveline and Electromobility and report to Vice President Driveline and Electromobility. The chief engineer will be working across Technology areas, within Volvo Penta, with partners, suppliers and Volvo Group.

Competence profile

• Dedication to customer success, ability to build deep understanding of customer needs, technology and balance attributes into solutions for our customer segments marine and industrial.
• Hands on strategic and tactical, meaning the ability to formulate a strategy, bring it down to an anchored roadmap and drive its realization into technology development, acting as project leader where necessary in strategic technologies.
• Courageous and passionate pioneer, with dedication to inspire, challenge and guide Volvo Penta into deploying innovative technology in a lean manner.
• Teamwork and collaborative spirit, to be able to build on the pool of knowledge and assets within Volvo Penta, the broader Volvo Group as well as external partners.

We expect the successful candidate to bring deep experience and knowledge of electromobility and driveline area.

You are a social person who enjoys working with others in flexible team constellations.

We believe you have a master’s degree as the basis for your career. You are fluent in English as well as Swedish, both in business and privately as well as in speaking and writing.
