Job summary

A leading construction firm in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee overall commercial and cost management of large-scale residential projects. This role involves cost planning, tendering, contract administration, and risk management, requiring 10-15 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, exceptional financial control skills, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the Middle East region.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in quantity surveying/commercial management.
  • Proven experience on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.
  • Strong developer-side or client-representative experience preferred.
  • Sound working knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration.
  • Experience in the Middle East (preferably Saudi Arabia) is highly desirable.
  • Professional membership (RICS or equivalent) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage cost plans and budgets.
  • Lead and manage tendering processes.
  • Administer construction contracts and review payment applications.
  • Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.

Skills

Strong commercial and contractual acumen
Excellent cost planning, budgeting, and financial control skills
High proficiency in Excel and cost management systems
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work independently and lead commercial matters
Structured, detail-oriented, and commercially pragmatic approach

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
