Reimagine What’s Possible

The Lead Planning Engineer for Power Block planning will oversee the commissioning, startup, and performance testing schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives. This role involves regular progress updates, generating “what-if” scenarios, and developing impacted schedules to address potential delays or changes. The Lead Planning Engineer will coordinate closely with stakeholders to maintain schedule integrity and achieve key project milestones.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Oversee the development and maintenance of commissioning, startup, and performance testing schedules.
2. Ensure all planning activities align with project objectives and timelines.
3. Provide regular progress updates and reports to project management and stakeholders.
4. Generate “what-if” scenarios to anticipate potential project delays or changes.
5. Develop impacted schedules and recovery plans to address any deviations from the project plan.
6. Coordinate with various stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, and construction teams, to ensure schedule integrity.
7. Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
8. Utilize planning software (Primavera P6, Power BI, etc.) to manage and track project schedules.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum 10 years as a planning engineer, with at least 2 years in a lead planning engineer role.
2. A Degree in BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
3. Expertise in power block systems and commissioning & start-up scheduling methodologies.
4. Proficiency in Primavera P6, risk analysis, Power BI, VB, DAX, and Excel.
5. Strong analytical thinking and the capacity to manage complex timelines.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. The role may require extended hours to meet project deadlines.
2. Work is primarily office-based but may include site visits to monitor project progress.
3. The position demands a high level of coordination and communication with various project stakeholders.
4. Must be able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
