Electrical Technician jobs in Saudi Arabia

The Electrical Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the ArcelorMittal Jubail facility. This role involves ensuring that electrical systems operate efficiently and reliably while adhering to safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, including motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and control panels.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
3. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand system configurations and troubleshoot issues.
4. Install, configure, and commission new electrical equipment and systems, ensuring proper operation and integration.
5. Perform electrical testing and diagnostics using specialized tools and equipment.
6. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company policies during all maintenance and repair activities.
7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and equipment status.
8. Collaborate with other technicians and engineering teams to address complex electrical issues and improve system reliability.
9. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform on-call duties as required.
10. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance electrical system performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma or Bachelor degree in Electrical Technology or a related field is preferred.
2. Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
5. Familiarity with electrical safety standards and procedures.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
9. Flexibility to work various shifts and respond to emergency situations as needed.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with industrial electrical systems and large-scale equipment.
2. Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems.
3. Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
