About this opportunity:We are now looking for a Contract Manager to manage in Saudi Arabia with leadership skills to drive contract and commercial negotiations on large scale sales opportunities. The contract manager will be communicating directly with multiple Ericsson customers in Saudi Arabia with responsibility of drafting commercial terms and conditions, proposal responses and compliance to contract terms & conditions in cooperation with CU, Core3 roles and legal affairs. It will be the contract manager's responsibility to manage the entire suite of the contractual relationship internally in Ericsson and externally with the customer securing full compliance to the Ericsson wanted position as well as execution towards our customer.
What you will do:- Drive the creation of long-term contract strategy - Identify customer risk profile, characterize deviations from business-critical T&C and sales guidelines, analyze potential long-term strategies to reduce contract risk and improve T&C, make recommendations for long-term contract strategies, and ensure inclusion of these strategies in account plans and commercial strategies.
- Drive contract evaluation - Perform review of relevant proposal or contractual documentation, identify deviations and risky T&C, make recommendations for improvements, and ensure conclusions are included in sales decision base material.
- Drive the deal specific creation of the contract strategy - Review relevant documents, influence towards wanted contractual T&Cs, analyze opportunities and initiate contract risk & gap analysis. Formulate contracting strategy and integrate it into the commercial strategy.
- Ensure conversion of the contract strategy into the proposal - Create contract proposal, capture requirements, identify deviations, escalate discrepancies based on gap analysis, provide input to opportunity analysis and obtain stakeholder review and approvals.
- Drive the drafting, negotiation of the terms, align with sourcing/procurement to secure back-to-back with suppliers, escalate deviations and finalization of the contract content.
- Ensure Contract Sign off by authorized signatories, monitor contract obligations, perform contract handover via briefing.
- Develop and drive the planning and execution of contract governance and adherence to it by managing contract risk, change control, and initiating contract variations when needed in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Contract Performance Management - Proactively monitor and ensure contract adherence by customers and suppliers, manage contract execution, negotiate disputes, and contribute to maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Drive contract finalization and closure - Ensure resolution of disputed items and pending claims, verify contract obligations, secure compliance with surviving terms, confirm contract completion, manage approval, prepare evaluation report, and document lessons learned for future improvements.
- Drive contract management excellence - provide expert guidance on contracting matters, act as the single point of contact for contractual terms and conditions, setting Contract Management strategy for new contracts, renewals, and follow-ups.
Role Focus:- Manages and coordinates the contract management priorities in specific accounts in the sales process from contract strategy as it progresses from qualification through proposal, contract negotiation and throughout contract execution, end to end sales cycle management.
- Execute their duties according to good industry practice and adhering to Ericsson Sales Directive and the Ericsson Business Critical Terms & Conditions including solid commercial conditions negotiations aligned with financial, pricing & commercial principles.
- Have a long term and proactive role to develop contractual strategies and executing them through creation and positioning of commercial value.
- Long term improvement in terms and conditions from a commercial, legal perspective; and proactive management of contract renewals, amendments, change control procedure and account lead governances.
- Creation and protection of add-on sales and up-sell opportunities.
- Perform contractual and commercial risk management across the contractual lifecycle.
- Contribute to securing the financial result (margins, working capital, add-on sales and upselling) in collaboration with KAM and Delivery responsible (CFR) Monitor contract execution, handle corrective actions and negotiate changes, ensuring that the parties live up to contract obligations.
You will bring:- Education: Graduate degree in relevant discipline such as law/business administration/finance/engineering etc.
- Certification (to be renewed on an ongoing basis for validity) in Contract Management, from a globally recognized institution, within a period of eighteen months of joining.
- Proven years of experience (7-12 Years), in Contract Management/Project Management/Sales in Pre/Post Award or both for IT near contracts, experience from B2B enterprise environment, including international business conditions and culture.
- Have experience in contract negotiations in complex technology lead solutions, services and software with a proven record of defining contract strategies, leading negotiations and solution oriented principle led approach.
