As a Welder, you will be responsible for:

1. Assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape.
2. Reading drawings and taking or reading measurements to plan layout and procedures.
3. Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
4. Setting up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
5. Operating angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
6. Aligning components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
7. Welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
8. Repairing machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
9. Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
10. Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
11. Having ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
12. Having ability to use general hand tools, power tools needed for welding and precision measuring equipment.
13. Complying with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental directives and regulations.
14. Having ownership for completion of QC Sheets, manufacturing forms, completion work forms.

To be successful in this role you will:

1. Have a high School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Have 1 year of experience in welding.
3. Have extensive experience working with TIG.
4. Have experience in pipes welding.
5. Have cord qualification.
6. Be familiar with Types and Defects of welding.
7. Have knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.).
8. Have deftness and attention to detail.
9. Be proficient in English.
10. Have a Professional Certification.
