Warehouse Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a medium to large team of warehouse staff with supervisory and department management responsibilities and is the focal point in the warehouse and has to ensure the warehouse staff are carrying out their duties as required.

He should be able to analyze moderate to complex operations and/or problems, identify causes, document and present recommended solutions including the evaluation of risks associated with recommended solutions, and Build Business and People Capabilities by embedding the company's values.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations and staff across multiple departments.
• Develop and execute shift plans to meet daily operational objectives and KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with MLS standards related to health & safety, housekeeping, food safety, accuracy, discipline, and performance.
• Supervise activities including receiving, storage, testing, and shipment of materials/products.
• Handle customer or shipper complaints not resolved by Warehouse Supervisors.
• Uphold disciplinary procedures and address breaches of conduct or performance standards.
• Maintain, review, and update standard and emergency operating procedures.
• Planned and implemented facility enhancements, including equipment purchases or layout redesigns.
• Monitor, track, and manage warehouse inventory levels.
• Inspect warehouse operations regularly to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Provide leadership, training, and support to warehouse staff to build capacity and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, MIS, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with proven supervisory or managerial responsibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve moderate to complex operational challenges.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
