Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Rolls-Royce team, driving our public policy and Government affairs function in one of our most dynamic and important markets. As Vice President for Corporate Affairs, you will be an integral member of our global Government Relations function, with responsibility for our government relations and policy engagement in the region, and for developing and executing campaigns to enhance our position in the market as a leading force for progress in Saudi Arabia, powering, protecting and connecting people everywhere.

This is a critical role in one of our largest markets. Working with our Group strategy, Communications and Government relations functions, alongside our divisions in-country (e.g. Defence), your role is to:

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Monitor, assess and anticipate major trends and developments within the political, media and industrial landscape.
  2. Provide relevant and expert advice on emerging risk and opportunity, inform the development of our regional strategy, and input to the regional and local communications and marketing plans.
  3. Lead coordinated campaigns across divisions to protect and create value through influence in public policy and Government affairs.
  4. Identify when to engage with government or other key stakeholders, at what level, and the key things that these stakeholders will be looking for.
  5. Together with the business, develop engagement plans, help hone the messages, open the door to the right person and support the business in making their case, forming connections that are broad and deep to advance the business outcomes.

Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, international relations, law, or a related field. A master's degree or advanced education is preferred.
  2. Extensive experience in government relations, public affairs, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership or managerial role. Experience in the aerospace industry may be advantageous.
  3. In-depth understanding of the political landscape, regulatory environment, and policy-making processes.
  4. Proven track record of developing and executing government relations strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  5. Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and advocacy groups.
  6. Significant experience in leading advocacy initiatives, developing strategies to influence policy and regulatory outcomes, and successfully advocating for organizational interests.
