Practice Nurse – Maternity Cover ASAP Start – 6 months - Suffolk

Dream Medical is currently working with a GP practice that is currently looking for a locum practice nurse to cover maternity leave.

We are looking for an experienced, hard-working and enthusiastic practice nurse to join our friendly and dedicated client to cover maternity leave due to commence ASAP. You will be part of a team of Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant and Phlebotomist in a busy rural practice. The ideal candidate will be proficient in chronic disease management with a developed interest in diabetes.

You will be working a minimum 28 hours/w plus sickness cover.

The practice values high quality care for our patients; key qualities are excellent clinical and interpersonal skills to ensure that care is provided safely, effectively and to a high standard.

Essential skills:

1. Diabetic patient monitoring
2. Longterm condition monitoring (IHD, hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD)
3. Childhood Immunisations/travel consultation & vaccination
4. Cervical sampling
5. Pill & HRT checks
6. Standard dressings/Suture removal
7. ECGs
8. Venepuncture
9. Injections
