Responsible for the planning function of all approved static equipment jobs included in the turnaround scope.
Make a site visit to verify scope of work and location of the work, access needed, lifting requirement, insulation removal.
Identify turnaround activities, estimate resources, durations, and establish precedences as the main input for the scheduling.
Identify needs for assisted access (scaffolding, man-lifter) and insulation removal as preparative activities for the static equipment related works. Notify the Scaffolding Planner.
Identify flanged joints to be hot-bolting during the pre-turnaround phase; prepare a hot-bolting plan.
Prepare and identify the BOM.
Can read the equipment drawing.
Work closely with the execution contractor to ensure complete familiarization and commitment to the turnaround plan, which will be a key factor for the success of the turnaround.
Prepare Work Instructions, Lifting Plans for the static equipment works under the turnaround scope.
Identify critical lifting operations that require a comprehensive rigging study.
Assemble the Work Packages.
Education:
B.Sc. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years maintenance and turnaround experience in an oil and gas context with at least 3 years’ experience in a turnaround planning role.
