Role Purpose

Maintain standards and controls within the shop by checking the work at pre-determined stages.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

1. Allocate work via routing sheet to machinists.
2. Assist the machinist in setting up of jobs in the machine, where necessary.
3. Maintain standards and controls within the shop by checking the work at pre-determined stages.
4. Report non-conformance to QC supervisor.
5. Raise material requisition for tools and other requirements.
6. Report to Superintendent on jobs completion, back-log, training requirements and other needs of the department.
7. Ensure the shop is maintained clean & tidy, and all equipment is used in a safe manner.
8. Provide man-hour consumption, material requirement and other details to sales department / estimators to prepare estimate / quotation.
9. Plan & schedule the jobs and distribute among the available manpower and machines.
10. Follow up with Inspection Company to know the incoming jobs and plan accordingly, to meet the delivery schedule.
11. Follow up with customers & sales department for required accessories to complete a job.
12. Meet the emergency requirements by rescheduling of jobs for quick turnaround and to increase the revenue.
13. Plan jobs during weekends and Eid-holidays to minimize overtime.

Education & Certifications

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering.

Required Years of Experience

Minimum 13 years experience in machine shop and production environment with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of CNC machines, processes, CNC programming, and troubleshooting.
