Transportation Coordinator

Main Job Purpose:

The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the timely delivery of goods, the day-to-day operations of the drivers, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff, compliance with company policy and procedure, country laws and guidelines along with the maintenance and care of company vehicles.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate delivery of products, dispatching, routing, and tracking of delivery vehicles.
2. Organize routes concentrating on customer service.
3. Ensure to dispatch all company drivers on time and as per plan set with the transportation supervisor.
4. Ensure all deliveries/pick-ups are done efficiently; specific customer requests or concerns are communicated to all transportation employees.
5. Handle customer complaints, and investigate delivery issues. These may include damaged products and late or lost deliveries, escalating to the transportation supervisor where necessary.
6. Frequent communication with customer representatives, MLS customer service and MLS management regarding status and logistics of deliveries/pick-ups to ensure quality service is provided.
7. Ensure to track routes to assure on time deliveries to customers.
8. Manage POD return and WDR data entry updating DDR, WDR & check CDRF forward Invoices to Operations. Prepare load plan and Invoice segregation for loading/delivery trips.
9. Review drivers hours properly and submit timecards to supervisors. Record Drivers Trip allowances through DDAR records.
10. Perform planning of loads and truck routes in collaboration with Transportation Planner/Supervisor to enhance load capacity and reduce damaged merchandise, loading errors, and deliver orders on-time with the right quality. Book 3pl for Over capacity and notify/record, deliveries/returns for re-planning.
11. Record driver concerns through debrief, along with policy violations and direct main issues to Transportation Supervisor/Team leader.
12. Ensure adherence to all security and operational procedures. Monitor assets assigned to Driver/Staff Bravo units, uniform, id tags, Handheld units, pallets, cages, all MHE, Truck straps/bars.

Requirement:

1. Experience 1-2 years in the transportation field.
2. Proficiency in English.
3. Location: KSA - Riyadh.
4. Aware of truck sizes and delivery drivers problem-solving.
