Transport Planner

Our Transport Planning team is looking for a Transport Planner in Saudi Arabia, to support with the technical delivery of multiple master-planning/land development projects across the Kingdom. Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to:

• Undertake standard engineering and planning assignments
• Calculations, analysis, designs and reports
• Prioritise tasks and manage his/her own time on projects, and to meet deadlines
• Assist seniors to deliver projects effectively by taking responsibility for tasks provided
• Coordinate aspects of projects submittal and deliverables, reviews and approvals against contract requirements.
• Assist in providing marketing support to the team with current and future clients.

Candidate Specifications

• Bachelors in Transportation and Civil Engineering; an MSc in Transport Planning or in Civil Engineering would be highly advantageous.
• Membership to a professional institution affiliated to the transport sector.
• Prior experience as a Transport Planner in the areas of transport planning/modelling/engineering, preferably some experience in KSA or Middle East.
• Sidra, Synchro, VISSIM HCS, VISUM desirable.
• Experience in making sound judgements on complex and sensitive issues.
• Successful task management experience.
• Experience in working in a team environment.
• A team player with the ability to be flexible in their skill development and working relationships.
• Innovative thinker and effective problem solver.
• Sound knowledge of professional and international standards.
• Willingness to travel for short term assignments would be preferred.
