Role Overview:

As the Transport Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the fleet and trucks operations to ensure efficient, safe, and timely transportation services. In addition to managing fleet performance, you will play a key role in building and maintaining strong customer relations to enhance client satisfaction and retention. This position requires hands-on experience in transport operations, team management, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily operations of the transport fleet, ensuring all trucks meet safety and operational standards.

- Lead, motivate, and manage the fleet team, including drivers, dispatchers, and operations staff, to maximize productivity and maintain compliance.

- Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, coordinating with the maintenance team to schedule regular inspections and repairs.

- Monitor fuel usage, route efficiency, and driver performance to optimize operations and reduce operational costs.

- Develop and implement processes to improve service quality, safety standards, and operational efficiency.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring a high level of service satisfaction.

- Maintain accurate records of all fleet activities, maintenance schedules, driver logs, and customer interactions for reporting and compliance.

- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans for operational improvement and business growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelors degree in logistics, transportation management, business, or a related field.

- Proven experience (5+ years) in transport operations, with a focus on fleet management and customer relations.

- Strong understanding of logistics, route planning, and fleet maintenance requirements.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and fleet tracking tools.
