Tendering Engineer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar background.
• 5-7 years of work experience as a Tendering/Sales Engineer in the Oil & Gas manufacturing/repair industry.
• Good background in CNC machining and hard metal overlay processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of building/structuring commercial & technical proposals.

Key Qualities Required

• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in the downhole products market.
• Solid cost estimation experience and quotation preparation.
• Ability to communicate with raw material suppliers/third-party subcontractors for special coating & machining services.
• Ability to interpret manufacturing/repair drawings.

Principal Accountabilities

• Interpretation of Drawings, Technical Reports, and condition of tools into accurate work scopes
• Interpret new manufacturing drawings, source best consumable tooling, and prepare commercial offers
• Full contract review
• Carry out detailed cost analysis of the manufactured/repaired product
• Manage specific clientele and build good relationships to maximize potential business.
