Roles and Responsibilities:
Team Supervision and Coordination
Lead and manage telecom technicians on-site, ensuring safe and efficient execution of telecom projects.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to schedules.
Installation and Maintenance
Oversee the installation and maintenance of telecom systems (e.g., fiber optics, satellite, radio, and communication networks) on oil rigs, platforms, and pipelines.
Ensure all systems meet industry standards and operational needs.
Safety and Compliance
Enforce strict safety protocols, ensuring compliance with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, API standards) in a hazardous environment.
Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to prevent accidents.
Quality Control
Monitor the quality of telecom installations and repairs, ensuring all work meets technical specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues quickly to minimize downtime.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Provide progress reports to project managers and clients, highlighting any issues or delays.
Equipment and Material Management
Ensure the availability and proper use of telecom equipment and materials.
Manage inventory, ensuring that tools and equipment are maintained and functional.
Customer Interaction
Serve as a liaison between the project team and clients or stakeholders, ensuring telecom requirements are met.
Qualifications:
Diploma in electronics or telecommunication/ Instruments.
Supervision experience with telecom products installation and commissioning.
