Job Title: Technical Service Specialist Mechanical

Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

JOB PURPOSE: The role is responsible to the Technical Services Lead, for the delivery of the Prime Contractor’s (PC’s) in-service support activities relating to their specialist field for the RSAF Tornado platform.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Undertake technical support activities within own area of responsibility, including internal Tornado Support Service (TSS) stakeholders such as Maintenance and Supply Chain.
2. Support the Technical Services Lead in their direct contact with the RSAF HQ/KAAB, MODSAP, and internal TSS stakeholders.
3. Raise and monitor the progress of KSA TSS Technical Queries and ensure responses meet the Customer’s or TSS stakeholder’s expectations.
4. Support Customer meetings including TSSSM, PIWG, LPR and others, including internal reviews and provision of data.
5. Generate presentation packs for meetings and track responses to actions from meetings to ensure compliance to suspense dates.
6. Maintain hard and soft copy files for all Technical Services senior meeting minutes and actions.
7. Attend meetings/workshops as requested by the Technical Services Team Management.
8. Monitor and review Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), Technical Publication Deficiency and Improvement Reports (TPDIRs), Material Deficiency Reports (MDRs), and Technical Queries (TQs).
9. Provide ad hoc technical support and specialist advice in relation to ongoing Obsolescence investigations.
10. Co-ordinate CWP duties during visits and generate brief presentations to Senior RSAF officers.
11. Gather information to monitor engineering performance of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE).
12. Provide cover for other Technical Services Leads in their absence as required.
13. Ensure awareness of all CAME sections and associated TSS procedures relevant to area of responsibility.
14. Provide technical services awareness briefings to new arrivals and visitors.
15. Support the annual review of Technical Services procedures and actively support audits.

Qualifications:

• Educated to Honours degree level and Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience and knowledge of RSAF practices and procedures.
• Strong understanding and experience of Prime Contractor operations, ideally in a KSA environment.
• Good understanding and experience of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering.
• Ability to communicate effectively to RSAF, MODSAP, and other stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience of preparing and presenting presentations at a senior level.
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiar level of knowledge of Tornado aircraft and Continuing Airworthiness.
• Demonstrated practitioner skills in aircraft modifications and technical instructions.
