The Opportunity

Downe House Riyadh is accepting applications from candidates who wish to be considered for potential openings with our school for the Academic Year 2025 – 26.

Downe House Riyadh opened in September 2022. It is the first premium British private all-girls’ school (Boys Pre-School-Year 4) for 3-18 year olds to be established in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Downe House Riyadh is located towards the north of Riyadh in the prominent neighbourhood of Aqeeq. The school’s curriculum is sensitively adapted for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ensuring our girls excel in Arabic language and Islamic Studies, alongside other subjects. Downe House Riyadh operates within the expectations of a UK independent school framework. The Position – Teacher of Physical Education

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who has the qualities, skills and experience to be part of the team that will continue to push Downe House Riyadh as the leading girls' school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will make a significant contribution in helping to strengthen the PE Department of Downe House Riyadh whilst also having excellent opportunities for career development and progression to middle leadership positions and beyond.

We are looking for a dynamic PE Teacher passionate about inspiring students across all age groups. This role requires a flexible approach to teaching throughout the school and a strong commitment to developing competitive and recreational sports teams. Candidates should be prepared to lead, coach, and support students during out-of-hours matches, including occasional weekend commitments, fostering teamwork, resilience, and school spirit at every level.

The Person

Renumeration

The Structure of Downe House Riyadh will be:

Pre-Prep: Nursery to Year 2 (2-7 years of age)

Prep: Year 3 to Year 8 (7-13 years of age)

Senior: Year 9 to 13 (13-18 years of age)

Boys as well as girls will be admitted from Pre-School to Year 4.
