The British International School of Jeddah (BISJ) is seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our Secondary Section. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic international school offering the IB Diploma Programme and IGCSE. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality education, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment that meets students' academic and personal needs. A strong background in teaching IB Diploma or A-Level Mathematics is essential, and there is the opportunity to inspire students further through leading an extracurricular club that aligns with the school's mission and promotes engagement outside the classroom.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver effective lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and academic goals.
  2. Assess, monitor, and document student progress, providing constructive feedback to promote student growth.
  3. Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that supports learning and student self-confidence.
  4. Support students with diverse needs and refer them to internal support services when necessary.
  5. Actively participate in school meetings, collaborative planning, and professional development.
  6. Serve as a Form Tutor, guiding students in their personal and social development and assisting with pastoral care.
  7. Lead an extracurricular club, promoting the school's vision and fostering a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject area.
  2. Teaching qualification or certification.
  3. Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
  4. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
  6. Commitment to personal and professional growth and active participation in school activities.
  7. Ability to foster positive relationships and act as a role model for students.
