Job description

A leading Talent Acquisition Company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly skilled T&I Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. As a leading talent acquisition consultancy, we specialize in connecting exceptional professionals with opportunities in various industries, including Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Energy, Water, and more. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and integrity of mechanical systems within the T&I (Transportation and Installation) operations.

Responsibilities

  1. Mechanical Maintenance & Operations :
  2. Oversee the maintenance and repair of both rotating and static mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, and pipelines.
  4. Develop, implement, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for rotating and static equipment.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, motors) and static equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves).
  6. Ensure proper mechanical integrity of equipment in line with company policies and industry regulations.
  7. Lead and manage mechanical aspects of plant turnarounds and shutdowns, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
  8. Coordinate and oversee the mechanical inspection, repair, and replacement of equipment during planned turnarounds.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, safety, and quality control) to ensure smooth execution of turnaround activities.
  10. Prepare scope of work, material requisitions, and resources for turnaround activities.
  11. Ensure that all turnaround work is completed according to scheduled timelines and with minimal impact on production.
  12. Inspection and Condition Monitoring :
  13. Perform inspections of mechanical equipment as per the inspection schedule, using various techniques such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, and thermography.
  14. Implement condition monitoring techniques and make recommendations for equipment improvements or replacements.
  15. Review inspection reports and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
  16. Manage mechanical asset life cycle and support the development of long-term strategies for equipment reliability.
  17. Utilize SAP (or equivalent ERP system) for planning, scheduling, and tracking all mechanical maintenance activities.
  18. Create and manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory in SAP.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. 7+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the oil and gas industry (both rotating and static equipment).
  3. Experience working with turnarounds, shutdowns, and inspections in an industrial setting.
  4. Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and pipelines.
  5. Experience with SAP (or similar ERP systems) for maintenance management, work orders, and reporting.
  6. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  7. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  8. Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
