Job Description

A System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure to ensure efficiency, reliability, and security. The role requires expertise in VMware, backup solutions, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), Microsoft Exchange, and Active Directory.

Key Responsibilities

1. VMware Management: Deploy, manage, monitor, and optimize VMware environments.
2. Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain backup solutions, develop backup policies, and monitor job executions.
3. Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI): Deploy and maintain HCI solutions, ensuring performance and scalability.
4. Microsoft Exchange: Install, configure, and manage Exchange servers and email security.
5. Active Directory: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
6. System Administration: Maintain Windows/Linux servers, apply security updates, and monitor system health.
7. Networking: Configure and manage network devices, VLANs, firewall rules, and troubleshoot network issues.
8. Security: Implement security measures, conduct audits, and respond to incidents.
9. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain documentation and generate reports on system performance.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
2. Certifications in VMware (VCP), Microsoft (MCSE), or relevant technologies.
3. Strong experience in system administration, virtualization, backup solutions, HCI, Exchange, and Active Directory.
4. Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and networking concepts.
5. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
6. Ability to adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
