Job description

PPI is looking for a supply chain manager to oversee and manage the company's procurement and contracts and planning and warehouse functions to ensure an efficient and adequate supply of pharmaceutical products to customers while adhering to regulations and standards.

Responsibilities & Accountability

  • Manage the day-to-day supply chain operations, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and resolving any issues that arise in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop, revise, and enhance supply chain policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and guidelines.
  • Lead and manage the supply chain team, including setting individual employee goals, assessing team members' activities, and providing formal and informal feedback to improve performance.
  • Ensure appropriate training and development of team members.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices and implement changes to increase efficiency and work quality considering international best practices.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and lead time, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
  • Manage suppliers and vendors and negotiate contracts and pricing while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Review suppliers' proposals and quotations and select the optimal offer based on pricing, quality specifications, etc.
  • Develop a detailed material plan based on the forecasting document and collaborate with the sales team for the plan's review to properly secure necessary materials.
  • Assign relevant manufacturing jobs to the production team through the ERP system to ensure timely and efficient production and delivery of products.
  • Manage and optimize warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the department.
  • Follow regulatory requirements such as the cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), SOPs, etc., and remain up to date with changes to these requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and the finance department, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of any financial issues or concerns.
  • Submit budget requirements to the finance team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of order details reports to relevant stakeholders, including information about order fulfillment, order closing per month, lead time for orders, order volume, etc.
  • Support the business development department by providing feedback on shipping, clearance, insurance management, and other supply chain-related terms for agreements.
  • Manage risk and implement contingency plans to minimize supply chain disruptions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certificate is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong understanding of logistics, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and data analytics.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
