Role Summary:
Responsible for overseeing health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, and providing guidance and support. Also, maintain accurate records and facilitate training programs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising all health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organizational objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation/control measures to minimize workplace hazards.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
- Review and audit health and safety practices to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to the SAFE (Safety, Awareness, Facilities, Environment) team regarding health and safety legislation and compliance.
- Maintain accurate health, safety, and security records, ensuring that all incidents and actions are thoroughly documented.
- Lead or assist in workplace incident investigations, identifying root causes and making recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor and follow up on action plans related to workplace incidents, ensuring that assigned tasks are completed effectively.
- Facilitate training programs related to Health, Safety, and Security procedures and initiatives, ensuring that employees are well-informed and capable of adhering to safety protocols.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential health and safety crises, ensuring the organization is well-prepared to handle emergencies.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum high diploma/ bachelor’s degree in Science degree in Safety Management or in a similar field.
- Health and safety management Certificates.
- 5+ years of experience in various roles.
