Strategy Planning Senior Manager

Job Purpose
Experts at this level are responsible for providing technical expertise pertaining to translating strategy into goals, quantifiable targets, initiatives, supporting analysis and reporting of business data and information, in order to analyse potential business opportunities that can improve STC's profitability and ensure business continuity. Also, they are responsible for advising on operational work processes and mandates to minimise operational, business, market and financial risks.

Job Responsibility

Strategic Planning:

1. Provide technical expertise in driving the development of STC's Corporate/Tech & Ops/Business strategy in consultation with other sectors.
2. Advise on translating Corporate/Tech & Ops/Business strategy into goals, quantifiable targets and strategic initiatives to ensure that they are clear to all sectors across STC.
3. Advise on the implementations of framework for carrying out internal/external strategic analysis, identifying scenarios, assessing options for way forward and formulating recommendations.
4. Guide the development and implementation of competitive analysis, leveraging input from all sectors and market research agencies to be included as an input for strategy formulation.
5. Provide expert support in scanning external environment and conducting meetings and discussions with internal and external telecom industry experts for collecting the latest trends and best practices.
6. Develop processes/framework to maintain and continuously update strategy and goals to ensure its consistent alignment with STC's long-term goals.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

1. Advise in devising effective action plans to address issues identified during analyses of complex business data and information.
2. Advise in the documentation of reports pertaining to customer and business level analysis, to ensure future access when required.
3. Advise in the articulation of different commercial strategies and in the ideation of new business opportunities, in order to increase STC's profitability.
4. Participate in identifying potential opportunities for the launch of new products/services by performing relevant data analysis and modelling.
5. Advise in the creation of data mining architectures, coding standards, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies.
6. Act as an advisor, providing expertise on operational work processes, policies and compliance guidelines pertaining to Data Analysis & Reporting.
7. Advise on the formulation of Data Analysis & Reporting initiatives and ensures communication and implementation of the same.

Generic Role:

1. Provide an outside-in perspective and ensures that a world-class system encompassing all data and information analysis practices are adopted, instituted and complied with.
2. Review work processes to identify potential areas of improvement and supervise their implementation.
3. Provide recommendations, remedial actions and measures for course correction on specific complex escalations.
4. Suggest remedial actions and measures for course correction on unresolved escalations.
5. Analyse reports and metrics, identifying potential issues and undertaking preventive measures to mitigate relevant technical and operational risks.
