Statistics Expert

Responsibilities

1. Diversity Statistics policies and procedures covering all areas of activity ensuring results achievement effectively and efficiently.
2. Provide guidance in the identification and implementation of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices.
3. Remain abreast of Population, Gender, and Diversity Statistics leading practice and new trends, and identify recommendations for corrective measures, updates, and improvements where required.
4. Establish working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
5. Provide expertise and guidance in identifying stakeholder engagement barriers and recommend best courses of action.
6. Actively gain exposure and insights to local market development, business opportunities, and the existing regulatory landscape.
7. Manage, guide, and assist team to perform operations in accordance with set policies and procedures.
8. Collaborate with Human Resources function to identify and recruit talent for Population, Gender, and Diversity Statistics.
9. Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate/appraise incumbents, and provide regular feedback on performance.
10. Promote a high-performance working environment embracing the company's values.
11. Oversee the development of statistical guidelines and methodologies, and provide expert opinion as needed.
12. Assess and prioritize business needs, propose relevant solutions, and support in the development of business cases for relevant initiatives/projects.
13. Review and assess technical proposals to provide expert opinion and recommendations as required, and engage with concerned stakeholders as needed for presentations.
14. Ensure alignment of all concerned internal/external stakeholders on statistical needs and expectations, and oversee plan development to provide recommendations as needed collection methods, and provide recommendations as needed for areas of modification.
15. Direct data gathering, classification, and coding while ensuring compliance with overall guidelines and plans, and provide expert consultations as needed.
16. Ensure completion of all needed data files in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to guidelines and quality standards.
17. Ensure completion of all required statistical analyzes in a timely manner, assess drafted outputs and validate against expectations and domain intelligence.
18. Review final statistical reports and conduct pre-release discussions with subject matter experts to guide modifications as needed.
19. Assess evaluation outcomes and guide the development of action plans for continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

1. 9+ years of experience in a Statistics field.
2. Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent is required.
3. Master's Degree in Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent is preferred.
4. Doctorate's Degree in Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent is preferred.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
6. Proficiency in English.
