We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Finance Specialist to establish and lead the internal Finance function of the Mirai studio headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Description :

The Sr. Finance Specialist will be accountable to the Studio Head of Operations and will liaise with both external finance consulting firms and Scopely international. This role is critical for tracking and reporting of the financial state of the business, while also setting up the accounting and finance function.

This role is hands-on in nature, requiring close collaboration with the Head of Studio Operations and other key stakeholders to drive financial success, while maintaining accurate forecasting, tracking, reporting, and partner relations.

Responsibilities :

  1. Financial Tracking and Reporting :
  • Responsible for the financial tracking, accounting and reporting processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the Studio leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports to monitor the financial health of the studio.
  • Compliance :
    • Ensure compliance with all local and international financial regulations and standards.
    • Liaise with external auditors and finance consultants to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
    • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Financial Planning and Forecasting :
    • Collaborate with the Head of Studio Operations to develop financial forecasts and budgets.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
    • Present monthly and quarterly budgets in conjunction with the KSA leadership approval and prudently manage resources within those budget guidelines.
  • Internal Finance Function Setup :
    • Establish and develop the internal accounting and finance function, including policies, procedures, and systems.
    • Implement financial software and tools to streamline finance operations.
  • Collaboration and Communication :
    • Work closely with the CEO and Studio Head of Operations and other department heads to align financial goals with operational objectives.
    • Facilitate communication between the finance team and other departments to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
  • Company Contribution :
    • Play a role in long-term planning, with the view to delivering operational excellence.
    • Maintain the administration, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication and liaison with external Finance partners and Scopely’s finance function.

    Requirements :

    1. Education :
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is required.
  • Experience :
    • 5+ years of experience in accounting and company finance, with a proven track record in accounting, financial planning, compliance, and reporting. Experience in the KSA region is a must.
    • Experience in a multinational company is an asset.
  • Skills :
    • Strong and accurate accounting skills.
    • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements, including tax.
    • Excellent numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in financial software and tools including Microsoft and Google suites.
    • Strong relationship and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
    • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet set deadlines.
    • Process driven with strong structured delivery experience.
