Sr.Executive - Analytical Instrument Engineer

Role Summary:
• To perform the calibration of all analytical instruments in the AMD laboratory.
• To ensure maintenance of all instruments and ensure their timely repair if a breakdown occurs.
• To liaise with analytical instrument vendors to ensure timely service visits and procurement of required consumables.
• To maintain the documentation of all instrumentation activities such as SOPs, logbooks, and contracts.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure all analytical instruments are Qualified as per industry standards.
• Perform routine calibration/functionality testing of all laboratory devices.
• Execute Preventative Maintenance of major analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV Spectrophotometer, Dissolution Apparatus, LC-MS, ICP-MS.
• Perform troubleshooting on malfunctioning instruments and identify the corrective actions.
• Rectify breakdowns of any instruments internally and/or externally via accredited vendors.
• Liaison with external suppliers and internal procurement team to ensure the stock availability of all instrument consumables.
• Oversee all active Annual Maintenance Contracts with specific vendors and manage their visits to the site.
• Ensure the availability of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all the instruments in the laboratory.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Biomedical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the industry, preferably pharmaceutical.
• Ability to work efficiently to complete the assigned tasks.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Fluency in Arabic & English languages.
