WSP is seeking a highly experienced Senior Environmental Engineer to lead and manage environmental engineering projects, ensuring compliance with local and international environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years of work experience with international companies. This position requires a Saudi national to support our projects in Jeddah.

Your new role, what's involved

1. Environmental Management & Compliance:
   1. Lead environmental assessments, ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian environmental regulations, as well as international environmental standards.
   2. Develop, implement, and oversee environmental management systems (EMS) for large-scale infrastructure projects.
   3. Provide technical expertise on environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance requirements throughout project phases.
2. Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA):
   1. Conduct and manage Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for various projects, identifying potential environmental impacts and recommending mitigation measures.
   2. Ensure that EIAs meet all local and international requirements and are submitted in a timely and efficient manner.
3. Sustainability Initiatives:
   1. Promote and integrate sustainable practices into project planning, design, and execution.
   2. Advise on best practices for waste management, energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable construction practices.
4. Technical Leadership & Mentoring:
   1. Provide technical leadership to the environmental engineering team, ensuring high-quality environmental solutions.
   2. Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
5. Stakeholder Coordination:
   1. Coordinate with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and clients to ensure environmental compliance and address any concerns.
   2. Represent WSP in meetings, public consultations, and discussions regarding environmental impact and sustainability.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
   1. Prepare and review environmental reports, assessments, and studies for clients and regulatory bodies.
   2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to environmental policies, assessments, and regulatory compliance.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
2. A minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental engineering, with expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects.
3. At least 5 years of work experience with international companies, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
4. Proven experience in environmental impact assessments, environmental management systems, and regulatory compliance.
5. In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian environmental regulations and international environmental standards.
6. Strong understanding of sustainability practices, waste management, and resource conservation.
7. Excellent communication and project management skills.
8. Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
