Industrial Complex, Riyadh

The center of alfanar’s industrial activities is alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh.

Spread across 700,000 square meters, the Complex houses alfanar’s facilities.

The Complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone.

Job Purpose: Lead the study and design of protection and control panels, applying technical expertise to analyze project requirements, propose efficient solutions, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality systems that adhere to industry standards and advance engineering capabilities.

Key Accountability Areas:

Preparation and Initial Planning:

  • Prepare the job file following the department's standard filing procedure.
  • Review and assess the contractual documents received from the launch meeting.
  • Define the job technically by explicitly stating all customer requirements and specifications.
  • Identify the need for additional resources/manpower (e.g., AutoCAD Operator) when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Design Section Manager to agree/discuss schedules.

Design and Drawing Processes:

  • Implement standardized solutions.
  • Utilize design software to ensure the accuracy of drawings.
  • Ensure adherence to standard drawing formats and symbols during drawing preparation.
  • Submit drawings as per agreed schedules.
  • Supervise the CAD Operator when provided, overseeing the transformation of technical data into panel layout, one-line diagram, civil work guide, and schematic design from hand-drafted to ACAD format.

Material Management:

  • Check and issue Bills of Materials (BOMs) for long lead materials within one day after receiving IPO to SAP.
  • Issue remaining materials within one week after receiving IPO.
  • Use stock materials when technically acceptable and without risk to reduce non-moving stocks.

Production and Quality Control:

  • Release the latest/production drawings to the Mechanical Team according to the agreed schedule for MMR issuance.
  • Provide technical support during production and quality control.
  • Convert production drawings to as-built documentation.

Safety Procedures:

  • Implement all safety procedures.

Role Accountability:

HR Proficiency:

  • Training of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
  • Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
  • Ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale, motivation of subordinates.

Delivery:

  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

  • Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

  • Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, Safety and Environment:

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering

Work Experience: 4 to 6 Years
