WSP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Engineer to support the management and administration of contracts for major engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 12 years of experience in dealing with government contracts regulations in Saudi Arabia, covering both pre- and post-award processes. The role requires a strong understanding of various types of contracts, along with experience in cost estimation or quantity surveying. Fluency in Arabic and English is essential for this position.

Your new role, what's involved

1. Contract Management:
   1. Administer and manage contracts for engineering, design, and construction projects in compliance with Saudi government regulations.
   2. Handle the entire contract lifecycle, from pre-qualification and tendering to contract award, execution, and post-award administration.
2. Cost Estimation & Quantity Surveying:
   1. Provide expertise in cost estimation, quantity surveying, and budget management for construction projects.
   2. Review and validate cost proposals, change orders, and variations, ensuring alignment with project budgets and scope.
3. Contract Documentation:
   1. Prepare and review contract documents, agreements, and correspondences to ensure accuracy and compliance.
   2. Monitor contract performance and track key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
4. Government Regulations & Compliance:
   1. Ensure that contracts are in full compliance with Saudi Arabian government regulations and procurement standards.
   2. Advise internal teams on regulatory requirements, contractual terms, and conditions to mitigate risks.
5. Risk Management:
   1. Identify and assess potential risks related to contracts and recommend strategies to mitigate them.
   2. Assist in the negotiation and resolution of disputes or claims related to contracts.
6. Collaboration & Communication:
   1. Collaborate with other project teams, including engineering, procurement, and legal departments, to ensure smooth contract execution.
   2. Maintain regular communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve any contractual issues.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
2. Minimum of 12 years of experience in contracts management, particularly with government contracts in Saudi Arabia.
3. Strong knowledge of various types of contracts, including engineering, design, and construction agreements.
4. Experience in cost estimation or quantity surveying, with a solid understanding of budgeting and financial management.
5. Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential.
6. Familiarity with Saudi Arabian government procurement regulations and contractual practices.
7. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills.
