The Purpose of the Role:
As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer, you will be managing and responsible for the entire M&V activities of all the energy projects throughout the business cycle from the bid release stage to the end of the performance period using the role required competencies and complying with the industry codes and standards. In your role, you will be responsible for meeting/exceeding the committed savings and proactively reporting and taking the required steps to mitigate any expected shortfall and protect the company rights by reporting and getting any NRAs approved. You will be working with the whole team members and functions to ensure full alignment with the vertical and overall Honeywell business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Support the solution team to create a proper M&V plan during PA and DFS stage for the proposed energy management solution.
- Select the appropriate M&V option that can mitigate any unforeseen risk.
- Identify the best data acquisition methodology (energy meters, BMS trends, etc.) for different energy saving measures.
- Find out the minimum required number of meter devices without compromising measurement accuracy and minimize metering cost.
- Identify to the project execution team the energy meter locations and follow up with them during the installation and commissioning stage.
- Supervise and expedite the meter installation process at the beginning of each DFS project.
- Supervise the meters commissioning stage and ensure all required energy parameters, time stamps, and time intervals are programmed as per the need.
- Collect the meter data on a monthly basis, perform the required analysis, and share it with Tarshid.
- Prepare a pre-construction assessment to identify the existing site conditions, inventory of the assets, static factors, etc., and prepare a pre-construction executive report.
- Verify the DFS baseline by collecting meter data for at least 6 months (after the DFS and before the actual execution start).
- Follow up with the execution team during the construction of the FIMs to document and witness any deviation from the actual plan.
- Prepare a post-installation report after the execution team finalizes the project execution.
- Keep an eye on the COCs issuance date and coordinate with the project team in this regard.
- Prepare the annual M&V report during the performance assurance period and get it approved by the client.
- Identify and document any changes on the agreed operational parameters and document them within the proper time to be considered as NRA.
- Coordinate with the O&M team to keep energy meters in operation and good condition.
- Coordinate with the O&M team to perform proper O&M activities to keep the equipment working at the highest performance.
- Report to the department manager for any expected energy shortfall and suggest and propose solutions to overcome this shortfall.
We Value:
- Electrical or mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in energy management and M&V hands-on experience.
- Deep experience in Building Management System, HVAC systems, lighting systems, water pumping.
- Hold Certified Energy Manager (CEM) as minimum qualification. Preferable: Certified Water Efficiency Professional (CWEP) and/or Certified Measurement and Verification Professional certificates (CMVP).
- Strong understanding of Measurement and Verification codes/standards/protocols.
- Experience with TARSHID projects and awareness of their procedures, business model, and guidelines.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel with high-quality analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, customer management capabilities, and team building & development.
- Hands-on experience to perform all site measurements and knowledge of using energy auditing measurement instruments and permanent energy meter configuration and data collection.
- Experience in different energy project categories on M&V tasks such as educational, commercial, industrial, healthcare, hospitality facilities, etc.
