Position: Specification Engineer (Mechanical)
Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

About Our Client: Our client is a key player in a consortium dedicated to delivering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ambitious National Renewable Energy Program. This initiative aims to achieve a total renewable energy capacity of 11.4GW once fully operational.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Specification Development: Create and maintain detailed specifications for mechanical systems, components, and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to define technical requirements and performance criteria for mechanical products.
2. Technical Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of mechanical designs, ensuring they meet specified performance, safety, and reliability standards. Review and assess vendor proposals and technical documentation to ensure alignment with project specifications.
3. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all specifications are accurate, complete, and up to date. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve product quality and performance.
4. Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that specifications are integrated into project plans and timelines. Assist in the coordination of project activities, ensuring that all specifications are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of specifications, revisions, and approvals, ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare and present technical reports and specifications to clients, management, and regulatory bodies as needed.
6. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and specification development. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the organization.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on specification development and management.
3. Proven experience in high-pressure environments, particularly in industries such as construction, manufacturing, or energy.

Preferred Skills:

1. Strong proficiency in mechanical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
3. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
4. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
