Our client is a key player in a consortium dedicated to delivering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ambitious National Renewable Energy Program. This initiative aims to achieve a total renewable energy capacity of 11.4 GW once fully operational.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Specification Engineer (Civil Engineer) to develop, review, and manage technical specifications for civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring project designs comply with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This position requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Specification Development:
   • Prepare detailed technical specifications for materials, methods, and construction techniques.
   • Ensure specifications align with project objectives, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
2. Technical Review & Compliance:
   • Review project designs and drawings to ensure they meet technical specifications.
   • Ensure compliance with international standards, client requirements, and environmental regulations.
3. Collaboration & Coordination:
   • Work closely with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.
   • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to address technical queries and resolve specification-related issues.
4. Material Evaluation & Selection:
   • Research and evaluate materials, ensuring they meet quality and cost-effectiveness criteria.
   • Develop and maintain a database of approved materials and suppliers.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
   • Prepare and update specification manuals, technical reports, and project documentation.
   • Provide detailed analysis and recommendations to stakeholders on specification-related matters.
6. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay updated on the latest advancements in civil engineering materials, technologies, and standards.
   • Implement best practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of specification processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Master’s degree or certifications in construction materials or specification management is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in specification engineering or a related role.
• Proven experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials.
• Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, ISO) and local regulations.
• Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design platforms.
