Solution Architect

The main purpose of the solution architect position is designing software solutions and providing technical leadership to software delivery teams. The architect is accountable for the technical acceptance of the delivered solution by the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Participates in vendor assessment and selection.
2. Collaborates with the presales team in proposed solution design during the bidding phase.
3. Prepares the “team” Scope of Work (SoW) proposal for software project bidding.
4. Prepares “team” professional services sizing, assumptions, and prerequisites for software project bidding.
5. Participates in customer demonstrations and presentations to promote our software solutions.
6. Attends requirement gathering workshops and prepares business requirements documents.
7. Prepares strategy documents for the project (e.g., configuration management strategy, migration strategy, go-live strategy).
8. Participates in and reviews testing strategy documents.
9. Prepares high-level design documents, including end-to-end solution architecture and integration scenarios with the assistance of technical architects.
10. Reviews/audits development team and subcontractor technical documentation to ensure alignment with project scope and architecture guidelines.
11. Audits the quality of output artifacts (source code, scripts, configuration files) by reviewing randomly selected parts.
12. Resolves technical conflicts among team members during the construction phase by clarifying scope and architecture and making decisions.
13. Accountable for the technical acceptance of the solution by the customer.
14. Participates in training activities for the customer.
15. Engages in R&D initiatives.
16. Coaches project construction teams in learning and practicing new technologies.
