Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our growing team. As an SQA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining manual test cases to ensure the products meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the software development life cycle.

Job-specific

1. Manage logging issues, defects in JIRA and provide status reports to the management in status meetings and weekly status report.
2. Experience with Fintech Solutions or similar financial data platforms, including testing data integrity, APIs, and reporting functionalities.
3. Work with scrum master and developer leads to optimize resource allocation for accelerating user story delivery process.
4. Perform backend testing and write SQL queries for the validation purpose.
5. Perform test for functionality, GUI, end-to-end, system, configuration and backend utilizing web server.
6. Create, edit, and maintain functional regression test script for Java portal systems and successfully execute manually.
7. Assist in documenting screen mock-ups in HTML and designing of applications.
8. Perform numerous bug fixes and maintenance development of data storage tools and UI applications.
9. Prioritize and automate main business flows with selenium and execute scripts on multiple builds.
10. Ensure UI and non-UI user stories meet requirement, capture process documentation for each sprint.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with Fintech industry practices.
2. Good knowledge of databases and SQL for validating test results.
3. ISTQB certification is a plus.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance, with knowledge of manual testing methods.
3. Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
4. Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
5. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
6. Experience with API testing, mobile app testing, or performance testing is a plus.
