ROLE PURPOSE

We are hiring for a Social Producer to bring logistical solutions to productions, being able to budget, resource and manage shoots from pre-production to post. The purpose of this role is to manage execution and delivery of creative outputs, owning every production detail from kick-off through completion; ensuring on time, on budget and on brief executions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Content Calendar Translation: Take the content and editorial calendar provided by Head of Content and Editorial and translate it into detailed briefs for creative teams, outlining specific content requirements, themes, and deadlines.
  2. Coordination with Creative Teams: Manage and coordinate with in-house creative teams and external agencies to ensure they understand and execute the briefs effectively.
  3. Feedback and Revisions: Provide guidance and feedback to creative teams throughout the production process, ensuring the content meets quality standards and aligns with the brand’s vision.
  4. On-Site Direction: Oversee content creation at live gaming events, including tournaments, exhibitions, product launches, and community events, directing creative teams to capture essential moments and produce real-time content.
  5. Real-Time Content Management: Ensure that content created during live events is delivered promptly for immediate or near-immediate use on social media, maintaining relevance and engagement.
  6. End-to-End Production Management: Oversee the entire content production process, from initial concept and briefing through to the final delivery, ensuring timelines are met and the content is ready for publication.
  7. Quality Control: Review all creative outputs to ensure consistency with the brand’s tone, style, and messaging before handing them over to the Social Media Manager.
  8. Content Handover: Deliver all completed content, along with necessary captions (where required) and contextual information, to the Social Media Manager for scheduling and publication.
  9. Content Scheduling Coordination: Work closely with the Social Media Manager to ensure that content is published according to the editorial calendar, with flexibility to adjust based on real-time needs or insights.
  10. External Collaboration: Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors involved in content creation, ensuring they deliver on brief, on time, and within budget.
  11. Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, balancing budget constraints with the need for high-quality content production.
  12. Timeline Management: Develop and manage production timelines with our Traffic Managers, ensuring that all content is produced and delivered on schedule, particularly around key events and campaigns.
  13. Process Optimization: Continuously refine and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and content quality, making adjustments based on feedback and performance data.
  14. Post-Event Analysis: Conduct reviews after major events or campaigns to evaluate processes and content effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  15. Responsive Content Production: Be prepared to quickly adapt content production plans in response to real-time events or social media trends, ensuring the brand stays relevant and engaged with its audience.
  16. Internal Communication: Keep key stakeholders informed about content production progress, including any potential delays or issues that might impact the content calendar.

Requirements

  • Travel Requirements: Be ready and able to travel frequently, with minimal visa restrictions, to cover events, and work with local production teams. Ideally, possess a nationality that allows for easy travel with minimal visa requirements.
  • Industry Passion: Bring a genuine passion for gaming and esports to the role, staying up-to-date with industry trends, popular games, and key community figures.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A keen eye on world-class gaming content
  • Experience in delivering social media content that drives viewership and engagement at scale
  • 2/3+ years of experience in a similar social production role
  • Proven experience in overseeing and planning production processes from pre-production to post-production for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong crew and technical knowledge
  • Ability to budget projects and provide accurate cost estimates efficiently
  • Confidence in managing all stages of social media production
