Snr Installations Engineer

Engineer required to carry out the following activities:

1. Direct experience of AV & VC installations in a lead/solo engineer capacity.
2. Ability to work unaided on suitable AV & VC installs.
3. Experience of diagnostics of AV & VC installations (cable/connector/unit replacement).

You will be expected to provide a range of services within the team. These include:

Pre-sales engineering

1. Provide assistance to the sales team and channel partners for the design of a solution to meet a given functional requirement. This may include written specifications, schematic diagrams using Visio, and, for the right candidate, end user presentations and workshops.
2. Complete Site Surveys to ensure that the documented specifications are achievable and to outline any errors in design and potential risks that could incur additional charges during an installation phase.

Installations

1. Assist in job preparation:

• Work with Operations Team to ensure equipment and sundries required to complete a scheduled job is in place.
• Test equipment prior to installation.

• Control Systems – AMX, Crestron
• AV Connectivity – Extron, Kramer, Magenta etc.
• Videoconferencing – Cisco, Polycom, Radvision, LifeSize, Vidyo
• Audio Solutions – ClearOne, Polycom, Biamp
• IPTV, Digital Signage, Video-On-Demand – Tripleplay, Exterity
• Large Format Displays, Touch Screens, Whiteboards, Projectors

Support

1. Provide remote assistance to customers over the phone, video, and desktop sharing to identify and resolve cases.
2. Attend customer sites to escalate cases to resolve, repair, or swap out equipment as required.
3. Attend preventative maintenance visits, diagnose potential faults and determine if they fall under the SLA or if it is chargeable.
